In The Womb

This giant California Bay Laurel in a sprawling lakeside park in Novato, CA, has for decades played host to weddings and celebrations, as well as countless picnics and visits from human admirers.  Large, unusual trees like this attract not only fans of trees, but people from all walks of life, over generations.

This beautiful creature is invitingly easy to climb.  I prefer to do this barefoot, and encourage others to do so too: the better to feel you with, my pretty.

With minimal help, this mother-to-be in her eight month managed her way up where she could relax and be held by her husband as the bay laurel, in turn, safely held us all.
