Thank you for your passionate caring about trees, Desiree. The more of us who do, and do so publicly, the more others who feel similarly will feel supported and speak up, too. I believe tree lovers are a quiet, often shy or scared-of-being-ridiculed majority. The cause and pleasure of appreciation and affection for trees is growing, and in the nick of time...

One example of many: a new (French) film, "The Tree," starring a tree and the family that grows to care deeply for it: http://www.thetreefilm.com

Sincerely,
Jack

WOW this is very COOL!!! I get so livid in anger when i see trees being torn down for human vanity....SCREW THAT!!! I spent DAYS in tears over a tree i was familiar with on my walks in the neighborhood...one day it was being hacked awfully (a pine tree that was planted next to a house after christmas 13 years ago) and i felt so awful...it would grow bigger and better branches i assured myself...NOOOOOOOOO a few days later it was GONE GONE GONE!!!!!!!! i cried on the spot...i had come to love that tree and looked forward to seeing it and touching it as i passed by....
Oh what fools some humans are....and we have to live with them...
Please keep doing what you do best!!!!!! That angel oak is unbelievably beautiful....and so alive!!!!
